About Project Trailblazer

The United States is in a bad place right now. Like many other places around the world, authoritarianism is taking hold. Freedom is in danger, as are the lives of anyone who wants to preserve that freedom. Peaceful protests are largely ignored, and violent resistance is a proven losing strategy. The people and institutions that are supposed to stop this from happening have dropped the ball. Good people are left wondering what we can do.

Before I get into how I want to help fix this problem, I want to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Sensiba, and I’m putting the following education and experience to work for you:

Innovative Ways Of Defending Our Freedom

The situation is NOT hopeless. We are NOT running out of options to defend freedom in non-violent ways. But, it’s going to require us to roll up our sleeves and put the work in.

First, we need to create parallel institutions. The people and politics that brought us to this terrible moment are not going to get us out. They’ve taken us down the wrong path, and we can’t stay on that path. Instead, we need to blaze new trails and begin building a better world from the bottom up. This not only lets us start improving things today, but directly takes the power back by removing essential things from government control.

Second, we need to focus these parallel institutions on building more resilient communities, including both the places we live and other communities we share with people (ex. the LGBT community). Our reliance on failing institutions and political parties to keep ourselves safe and prosperous has to end, and be replaced with grassroots efforts in public safety, economic growth, and defending human rights.

What does this look like in the real world?

  • Decentralized community gardening
  • Community and family food storage
  • Emergency preparedness and mitigation projects
  • Independent media and analysis
  • Encrypted internet (dark web) and radio (Mesh networking) communication
  • Barter, local currencies, skill sharing, and the use of cryptocurrency for actual currency
  • Local manufacturing (especially additive manufacturing) and repair
  • Community and personal defense (no aggression or terrorism!)
  • Many other ideas we will think of along the way!

My goal is to spread the knowledge and skills needed to do all of these things and build a network of local groups engaged in this work. Where exactly this ends up isn’t up to me. It’s up to YOU.
